Proposal Writing
Proposal writing is one of the most challenging areas of documentation for me. As most proposal writers know, the responsibility is enormous and nerves of steel are required. A deadline missed by minutes can mean the loss of millions of dollars of business.
After several years of proposal writing in a business environment, I have enjoyed applying my skills to make a contribution in the non-profit world.
L-1 Identity Solutions/Viisage
Developed proposals in response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for digital driver license systems. Analyzed RFP requirements, wrote entire technical response, coordinated and edited additional sections, compiled and delivered multiple copies of 300-400 page submissions. Authored successful proposals for driver license systems in Kentucky,
Mississippi, Connecticut, and Georgia for $42M in new business.
Squannacook River Rail Trail
Authored a successful grant application to the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) for $20,000 in funding to conduct an engineering assessment of the proposed rail trail. Also authored a successful grant application to the New England Grassroots Environment Fund for $1,000 to conduct a town-wide informational mailing. |
